Article 59

Section II (a) All active employees in road freight service will be entitled to personal leave days on the following graduated basis:

Less than (5) five years....................2 Days per year

(5) Five years and less than (10) ten years........4 Days per year

(10) Ten years and less than (15) fifteen years........7 Days per year

(15) Fifteen years and less than (20) twenty years.......10 Days per year

(20) Twenty years or more........13 Days per year

​The 420 Galveston vacation roster is as follows:
Galveston boards 6, 7, 9, 16, 17, 18 & 30
Houston boards 7 & 600 

A. Effective January 1, 2024, those employees assigned vacation under the jurisdiction of SMART-TD and who have met the requirements in accordance with the National Vacation Agreement of 1949 (with revisions) for 25 years of service to receive five (5) weeks' vacation, will receive one (1) additional week for a total of six (6) weeks. 

B. Effective January 1, 2024, those employees assigned vacation under the jurisdiction of SMART-TD will be allowed to select one additional week to "float" as single days (total of up to two weeks) and they are to be approved in the same manner as the present one (1) week of single day vacation. Nothing in this paragraph (B) increases any employee's total vacation entitlement. 

FYI it takes 244 inflated days to qualify for vacation, normally this info can be found on the emulator (TSS screen) if you are assigned to a vacation roster option,

Or you can find on the WFhub, under Time Off then Annual Vacation Scheduling and you’ll see Qualified Days Worked as of 12/16/24 to the right in my case 493 days.

​​Employees taking a single week of vacation, take note the time you are pulled off a working board, will be determined by the board or job you were working at the time. 

Galveston boards vacations start @ 0600-hours and you get removed from the boards (6, 9, 16, 17, 18 and 30) @ 2201-hours 

Houston board 7 vacation starts @ 0600-hours and you get removed from the board @ 2201-hours 

Houston board 600 vacation starts @ 0600-hours and you get removed from the board @ 2101-hours
